Said property is DETERMINED to be no longer necessary for District purposes. This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of said property to the State Route 4 Bypass Authority, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.5, and the Board Chair is hereby AUTHORIZED to execute a Grant Deed on behalf of the District. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND: The District owned land on which the old Lindsey Channel was built in the Antioch area. As part of the State Route 4 Bypass project,the Lindsey Channel was relocated to the north,with the funding for that relocation provided by the State Route 4 Bypass Authority. The District is conveying an area of land from the old Flood Control channel property to the Bypass Authority as consideration for the improvements funded by the Bypass Authority for the new channel.
