Rupf, Sheriff Costa Y'iiltlRb :z DATE: October 3, 2005 ��srq�auK County SUBJECT: Contract Amendment with Blood Alcohol Determinants SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff, or his designee, to execute a contract amendment on behalf of the County with Blood Alcohol Determinants (BAD) to extend the contract for blood withdrawal services to a revised contract termination date of October 31, 2005 with no increase in payment limit. 1). FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE: There is no change in payment limit. III. BACKGROUND: A two-year contract with Blood Alcohol Determinants expired on September 30, 2005. The Office of the Sheriff is currently working with the Purchasing Department to select a vendor to provide blood withdrawal services for both the Sheriff and county law enforcement agencies. The additional time requested will be used to complete the bidding and selection process.
