FISCAL IMPACT: There is no cost associated with this action. BACKGROUND: The Lease Manager classification which is currently exempt has been re-titled to Real Estate Manager-Exempt. The change in title is being requested to recognize a change in the focus of Lease Management Division to Real Estate Management. The Lease Management Division is responsible for lease management functions as well as tenant improvements, property management, and acquisition and development of real estate transactions. According to the department, this classification will continue to function in a high level management capacity, warranting the exempt status. Orig.Dept: Human Resources Department ATTESTED Cc: County Administrator JOHN fWEETEN,CLERK OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR \ A BY ,DEPUTY M382(10/88) ORDINANCE NO. 2005 = 30 (Retitle the classification of Lease Manager-Exempt to I Real Estate Manager-Exempt) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code): SECTION 1: Section 33-5.375 of the County ordinance Code is amended to retitle the classification of lease manager-exempt to real estate manager-exempt and to exclude real estate manager-exempt from the merit system, to read: 33-5.375 General Services. (a) The director of general services-exempt is excluded and is appointed by the county administrator. (b) The class and positions of deputy general service's director are excluded and are appointed by the director of general services-exempt. (c) The real estate manager-exempt is excluded and is appointed by the director of general services-exempt. (d) The capital projects division manager-exempt is excluded and is appointed by the director of general services-exempt. (Ord. 2005-30, §1 9 2002-51 §1 1 2000-42, 2000-34, 85-79 § 29 85-54 §2.)
