SUBJECT: AUTHORIZATION TO EXECUTE CONTRACT FOR TIMEWARE SYSTEM
UPGRADES
Specific Request(S) or Recommendation (S) & Background and Justification
RECOMMENDATION (S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Community Services Director, or designee, to
execute a contract with Simply Our Solutions, Inc. in an amount not to exceed
$36,000 to perform upgrades for the Department's computerized employee
payroll system, for the period December 21, 2005 through March 17, 2006.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding for this contract is already reflected in the Community Services
Department's FY 2005-06 budget. There is no net County cost to this contract
amendment. I
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Community Services Department supports two of Contra Costa County's
community outcomes: "Children Ready for and Succeeding in School" and
"Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing." These outcomes are achieved
by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood
education, nutrition, and health to low-income children throughout Contra Costa
County.
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this contract with Simply Our Solutions, Inc. is to upgrade the
Department's current computerized employee payroll system to make the
system more efficient, accessible and user friendly for all of the Department's
employees at all Department locations.
