FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $49,084.00. This position is 100% funded by permit fees from the Application and Permit Center that services the Building Inspection, Community Development and Public Works Department. BACKGROUND: The Department is requesting this addition in order handle the increased workload in the Application and Permit Center. Clerk-Experienced Level is the requested classification to be added because the Application and Permit Center canceled a Secretary-Journey Level in August and has found that the workload warrants having two clerks, a Clerk-Senior Level and a Clerk- Experienced Level. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The consequence of negative 'action will result in Department's inability to provide efficient service in the Application' and Permit Center.
