GILBERT DIRECTOR OF GENERAL SERVICES COSTA DATE: NOVEMBER 30, 2004 COUNTY v SUBJECT: LEASE OPTION FOR 8,700 SQUARE FEET OF WAREHOUSE 13 SPACE AT 620 MARINA VISTA, MARTINEZ FOR THE CLERK- RECORDER, ELECTIONS DIVISION (T00239) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATIONS)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION EXERCISE the option for a three-year extension of the Lease dated April 7, 1992 and amended September 26, 1995 and August 17, 1999 with Earl Dunivan and Joanne Dunivan for 8,700 square feet of warehouse space at 620 Marina Vista, Martinez, for continued occupancy by the Clerk- Recorder, Elections Division, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in the Lease. FINANCIAL IMPACT The exercise of option was anticipated and sufficient funds budgeted in the Clerk-Recorder, Elections Division approved FY 2004/2005 budget. The option is for a term of three years, effective June 1, 2005 through May 31, 2008. The rental rate for the first year is $3,015 per month, an increase of $115 per month over the previous rate. BACKGROUND The County has leased the warehouse space since 1975, which consists of approximately 8,700 square feet. This is the final lease extension. CONTINUED ON ATTACHMENT: YES SIGNATURE: i.
