REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department will apply a slurry seal and then a soft median barrier with rumble strips to Vasco
Road. Due to the lane closures and night work proposed enhanced traffic control in the work zones is needed. The
Department of California Highway Patrol has provided the County with a Reimbursable Services Agreement for
execution of this goal.
CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Both worker and public safety will be subject to significantly higher risk if this agreement is not approved.
