In the Matter of Accepting and Giving RESOLUTION Off" ACCEPTANCE
Notice of Completion of Contract with and NOTICE OF COMPLETION
Robert L. Brown Construction, Inc. (C.C. §3086, 3093)
Budget Line Item No. 4417-4473 RESOLUTION NO.2QQ4 3
Authorization No. 0928-WH473B
The Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT:
The County of Contra Costa on July 9, 2002, contracted with Robert L. Brown
Construction, Inc. for West Contra Costa County Animal Shelter, San Pablo Avenue
and Sunnyview Drive, Pinole for the Animal Services Department, Budget Line Item
No. 4417-4473, Authorization No. 0928-WH473B, with Travelers Casualty and
Surety Company of America as surety, for work to be performed on the grounds of
the County; and
The Director of General Services reports that said work has been inspected and
complies with the approved plans and specifications, and recommends its acceptance
as complete as of January 6, 2004; and recommends the withholding of $10,000
pursuant to the "withhold summary" provisions of the contract between Robert L.
Brown Construction, Inc. and the County.
Therefore, said work is accepted as recommended above, and the Clerk shall file with
the County Recorder a copy of this Resolution and Notice as a Notice of Completion
for said contract; and the Director of General Services, or desiggnnee, is directed to
withhold monies otherwise due pursuant to the letter dated December 17, 2003.
Time extension to the date of acceptance is granted as the work was delayed due to
unforeseeable causes beyond the control and without the fault or negligence of the
Contractor.

AYES: Supervisors Gioia, UiUc ma, Greenberg, and Glover

ABSENT: supervisor Desminier
