Attested:February 3,2004 John Sweeten,Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and County Administrator Deputy Clerk ORDINANCE NO. 2004-3 (Excluding executive assistant to the county administrator-exempt from the merit system and eliminating special assistant to the county administrator-exempt and director of the institute of policy and innovation-exempt.) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code): SECTION I: Section 33-5.307 of the County Ordinance Code is amended to exclude from the merit system the class of executive assistant to the county administrator-exempt and to eliminate the classifications of special assistant to the county administrator-exempt and director of the institute of policy and innovation-exempt, to read: 33-5.307 County Administrator. (a) The county administrator is excluded and is appointed by the board of supervisors. (b) The following positions in the county administrator's office are excluded and are appointed by the county administrator: chief assistant county administrator; assistant county administrator; assistant county administrator-director of human resources; labor relations manager; managercapital facilities and debt management-exempt; and executive assistant to the county administrator-exempt. This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after passage, and within 15 days of passage shall be published once with the names of the supervisors voting for and against it in the , a newspaper published in this County.
