BACKGROU` IREA ON OR I C I AjIQI_ : This Contract meets the social needs of County's population in that it provides health and support services to County residents living with IRV to improve arid/or maintain their health status and promote stabiity in their lives. On march 4, 2003,the Board of Supervisors approved Contract#22-401-21 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #22-401--22) with Pittsburg Preschool Community Council, Inc., for the period from larch 1, 2003 through February 29, 2004, to provide support services for County residents diagnosed with. HIV disease, including case management services, benefits assurance counseling, and non-emergency transportation. Approval of Contract 22-401-23 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through February 28, 2005.
