FISCAL INTACT: Approval of this agreement will result in an amount not to exceed$1,710,457 of State funding for the "On The Move With Foodwise"Project. No County funds are required. State Department of Health Services, for the period from October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2€303, to provide nutrition education to Contra Costa County, food assistance recipients through classes and workshops, as well as through existing community channels, such as after school programs and food distribution sites. The goal of the project is to improve nutrition and physical well-being among a segment of Contra Costa County's population, when are at an increased risk of chronic disease, Standard Agreement#25-602-6 continues State funding through September 30, 2005. Three sealed/certified copies of this Board Order should be returned to the Contracts and Grants Unit for submission to the State.
