FINANCIAL IMPACT: No general funds will be used. The monies will come from the Bay Point Redevelopment Project Area Housing Set-Aside funds for fiscal year 2004-2005. BACKGROUND: Habitat For Humanity, a non-profit housing developer, proposes to acquire property in Bay Point for the construction of six to ten single-family residential units for low and moderate income households in the Bay Point Redevelopment Project Area. The proposed housing would be built on a vacant 1.2 acre property (APN 095-073-001, -002, -003, 095-060-009, - 010, and -011) in the Bella Vista neighborhood of Bay Point. County Redevelopment funds will be allocated for land acquisition expenses. The Bay Point Redevelopment Project Area Committee has considered and recommended the allocation of funds to Habitat or Humanity.
