HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11042003 - PR2 9 In the Matter of honoring and thanking Acting Interim Fire Chief Mark McCullah for his leadership,commitment,and Management of the newly formed East Contra Costa Fire Protection District RESOLUTION NO. 2003/613 WHEREAS,Mark McCullah,in an effort to improve fire service delivery and for the purpose of managing the daily operations of the three County dependent districts in far East County,was appointed the Acting Interim Fire Chief for the East Diablo,Oakley,and Bethel Island Fire Protection Districts on May 1,2002,and, WHEREAS,Mark McCullah,because of his outstanding efforts as the Transition Team leader for the unification and consolidation of the East Diablo,Oakley,and Bethel Island Fire Protection Districts, distinguished himself as a leader in the community and gained the respect of firefighters throughout the district,and; WHEREAS,Mark McCullah,serving as the Fire Chief of the newly formed East Contra Costa Fire Protection District,applied his communication skills and management experience to effectively combine three unique districts and advisory commissions into a cohesive well-functioning group dedicated to better serving the citizens of far East County; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County,in its capacity as the Board of Directors of the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District,commends Mark McCullah for his invaluable efforts in helping to create the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District. PASSED by a unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors members present this 4th day of November 2003.
