[CDD-CP# 03-25] (District 111) Project No.: 7520-6139324-03 DATE: October 7, 2003 PAGE: 2 11. FinancialImpact: The total estimated contract cost is $444,570, funded by Flood Control Zone 3B Funds. Ill. Reasons for Recommendations and Backaround: A. On June 17, 2003, the Board of Supervisors declared an emergency and authorized the Chief Engineer to proceed in the most expeditious manner to repair the Storm Drain and Bridge. B. Repair status: The project was awarded to Granite Construction Company of Heidsburg. The construction began on August 4, 2003. It is expected the construction to be completed by the middle of October. This project is approximately 90% complete. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: Non-concurrence of the above recommendation will significantly delay repair of the Storm Drain and Bridge, prolonging impacts to local access and could result in the loss of the entire traveled way. �'. pie TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS FROM: MAURICE M.
