FISCAL ME This Contract is funded 100% by County funds and industry fees. on April 8, 2003, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22- 828W2 with Lewis G. Pascalli, Jr. , to direct, manage, and administer the Hazardous Materials programs under the general direction of the Health Services Director with regard to the Hazardous Materials Programs, including, but not limited to managing subordinate supervisors and professional/technical staff, and provide technical guidance and training to staff, through September 30, 2003 . FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract Amendment is included in the Health Services Department's Enterprise I budget. BACKGROUND/REASONLS) FOR RE!Q()MMENDA]L10NLS): On March 25, 2003, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-203-18 with Nor-Cal Medical Temps, for the period from April 1, 2003 through March 31, 2004, for temporary help during vacations, sick leave, and temporary absences of County pharmacists and technicians, as well as during periods when permanent positions were vacant. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement#26-203-19 will allow the Contractor to continue providing temporary coverage, through March 31, 2004. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is Federally funded, by the State through the Ryan White CARE Act Title I through an intergovernmental agreement with Alameda County, who is the Grantee of these funds. No County funds are required. BAG GR_0jjND/REAS0N(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S): This Contract meets the social needs of County's population in that it provides health and support service case management and referrals to County residents living with HIV/AIDS to improve and/or maintain their health status and promote stability in their lives. On March 4, 2003, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22-428-18 with AIDS Community Network, for the period March 1, 2003 through February 29, 2004, to provide support services to County residents with HIV disease. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-428-19 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services to HIV patients, through February 29, 2004.
