FISCAL IMPACT- Funding for this Contract is included in the Department's Enterprise I budget for FY 21302/2001 On June 4, 2002,the Board of supervisors approved Contract 4264413 wvit'n Moving solutions, Inc, for the period from May 7, 2002 through. February 1, 20133 to provide furniture and equipment moving services,storage and relocation services required for occupancy of the new A.1 bulatory Care facility at Lonza Costa Regional.- Medical Center,and to track and tag shipments of new furniture and coordinate placement at the new facility. Due to the unforeseen delays in the construction project,the occupancy date for the new Ambulatory Care facility has repeatedly been pushed back, and as a result,the delays have resulted in additional expenditures to be paid to the Contractor for warehousing fees. FINA.-N-CIAL IMPACT: Budgeted BACKGROUND: Proposed contractor As the vendor who has provided this service since the legal charges were enacted that necessitated expanded veterinary medical director and veterinary staffing, on a� as-needed basis, through the same contract. This contract further provides for increased staffing through the contract for the County's low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Surgical staffing will be provided for tie clinic during absences of any County-employed veterinarians and due to shortages of qualified veterinarians available on a regular full-time or part-time basis. Correction of the earlier approved Board Order is necessary to allow the Auditor Controller to pay invoices under the novation provisions.
