This action is consistent with that policy. In addition,the City's Park and Recreation Committee has recommended a park improvement priority list which has been adopted by the Martinez City Council by resolution, Waterfront Park was listed as a high priority project on that list. The project includes removing the existing play equipment and installing "state of the art play structures"for ages 2 to 5. The amenities include swings, climbing equipment slides, sand box and ground level play equipment plus benches and seat walls. These improvements have been designed so as to provide access and amenities in accordance with the current ADA requirements. The City has received)bids and the cast to improve Waterfront Park is $241,749. Work is expected to be completed by February 2003.
