HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02112003 - C83 TO: REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FROM: John Sweeten, Executive Director DATE: February 11, 2003 SUBJECT: Acquisition of Tax Defaulted Properties, North Richmond and Bay Point Redevelopment Projects SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Redevelopment Director, or his designee, to execute the appropriate documents to acquire three defaulted residential properties; two in the North Richmond and one in the Bay Point Redevelopment Project Areas. FISCAL IMPACT No impact on the General Fund.The total minimum bid price $13,000, plus applicable processing costs, for the two properties in North Richmond and $17,000, plus processing costs, for the property in Bay Point. The acquisition costs will be funded by the Housing Set-Aside tax increment funds for each Project Area and is included in each adopted budget. The Redevelopment Agency will acquire these parcels for the minimum bid price plus any applicable processing costs (estimated at a maximum of$400 per parcel).
