P1ACgCQRO =TREASON(S) FOR REC ATION(S) On January 14, 1997, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution #97/17, authorizing the Health Services Director to contract with the State Department of Mental Health to assume responsibility for Medi-Cal Specialty Mental ' Health services. Responsibility for outpatient mental health specialty services involves contracts with individual, group and organizational providers to deliver these services. Approval of Contract #24-939-92 will allow the Contractor to provide services through June 30, 2003. This change order will Increase the total contract price from $17,446,039 to$17,474,597.13 FINANCIAL IMPACT: Adequate funds to support this change order are included in the project budget, which is funded through Contra Costa County Public Financing Authority, Series 2001 B, Lease Revenue Bond proceeds. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND: The new Martinez Health Center required installation of additional underground fire sprinkler service lines and associated valves, as mandated by The Contra Costa County Fire Marshal. These modifications provide a more rapid connection to the fire sprinkler system in the event of an emergency. The Contractor's work was performed on a time and material basis with all costs verified by the Construction Manager.
