County SUBJECT: Police Cars equipped with Defibrillators I�1 1 I ■ I SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: Refer the matter of equipping police cars with defibrillators to Internal Operations Committee. 1.0.will gather data,hold hearings,and evaluate the issues, including the cost of implementing the proposal. BACKGROUND: In many instances,police officers arrive at the scene of an accident first. Lives may be saved if officers had defibrillation equipment to be used prior to the arrival of paramedics.
