111. Reasons for Recommendation and Background:
Resolution No. 2003/430 called for an appropriations limit election on March 2, 2004 for fiscal years
2003/03 —2007/08. The staff report and resolution language should have stated the term of the election
as 2002/03 through 2005/06. This Board action and new resolution corrects the dates and conforms to
State law, which allows only four intervals between elections. The prior resolution called for six years.
1V. Consequences of Negative Action:
The Alamo community will not have access to the entire limit of funding from County Service Area R-
TA without the voter approval for increasing the appropriations limit.
