H. Financial Impact:
The total estimated contract cost is $616,000, funded by Local Road Funds (100%).
Ill. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
A. On June 18, 2002, the Board of Supervisors declared an emergency and authorized
the Public Works Director to proceed in the most expeditious manner to repair the
erosion and failed pavement.
B. Repair status:
The project was awarded to Condon-Johnson of Oakland, construction
began August 8, 2002.
This project is approximately 75% complete.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Non-concurrence of the above recommendation will significantly delay repair of the
roadway, prolonging impacts to local access and could result in the loss of the entire
traveled way.
