11. Background and Reasons for Recommendations: (Continued)
C. The owner is in agreement with the County's objectives of having the units remain vacant,
the County paying rent on the units as they become vacant, and securing the premises
against vandalism, trespassers, or other unauthorized occupants.
D. The County will be renting the 2300 sq. ft. covered yard through at least December 2002.
This amendment ensures the County's contractual obligation to pay rent and saves time of
administrating a short-term rental payment due on the last day of each month.
111. Financial Impact:
Payments required are to come from the State Route 4 Fast f Railroad Avenue to Loveridge Road
Widening Project fund which is 100% reimbursable from the Contra Costa County Transportation
Authority.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The County could be liable for additional relocation expenses if the project proceeds and the
property is acquired for the project.
