III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
On April.24,2001,the Board of Supervisors authorized the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors to sign
a Statement of Acceptance of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant money in the amount of
$315,000, for an Airport Master Plan and Business Plan at Byron Airport. This grant acceptance, in the
amount of$15,750, is the final step in securing all outside funding for the project. The remaining funding,
in the amount of$19,250, will be provided by the Airport Enterprise Fund.
IV. Consequences of Ne2ati ve Action:
The Airport would not receive a Grant from CALTRANS(4.5%)Airport Improvement Project funds, which
would result in the Airport Enterprise Fund funding the remaining costs of the Master Plan and Business
Plan totaling $35,000.
