CONVENE
MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY
February 5 2002
Chair John Gioia convened the meeting of the Board of Supervisors this day at 9:02 a.m.,in the Board
Chambers,Room 107, of the County Administration Building, 651 Fine Street,Martinez,California. The
Deputy Clerk called the roll, Supervisors present were:
Gayle B. Uilkema,,District II
Mark DeSaulnier,District IV
Federal D. Glover,District V
And Chair,John Gioia,District I
At approximately 9:03 a.m.,the Board adjourned to Closed Session to Room 105 of the County
Administration Building,pursuant to the Closed Session Agenda attached.
At approximately 9:40, with all five supervisors present,the Board reconvened in its chambers. Supervisor
Gioia stated that there were no Closed Session announcements at that time. The Board proceeded with their
agenda and returned to closed session at approxmately 1:00 p.m. Following;,closed session,:County Counsel
stated the Board agreed to join a litigation matter entitled People of the State of California v. Dynegy Power
Marketing, Inc. et.al.#318189, 'San Francisco Superior Court, the action(s)generally seek to require..the
defendant power companies to digorge all monies obtained by alleged unlawful or unfair business practices.
(AYES: I, III, IV V, NOES:II, ABSENT.-None;ABSTAIN:None)
