BACKOROUNDIREASON'S FOR RECOMMENDATIONS': On January 23, 2001, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract ##26- 306-4 with Per Diem Staffing Systems', Inc. , for the period from February 1, 2001 through January' 31, 2402, for the provision of respiratory 'therapist registry services at Centra Costa Regional ' Medical Center. Approval of Contract 26-346-5,'' will allow the Contractor to continue ' providing registry services for peak loads, temporary absences, and emergency situations through January 31, 2003 . Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. has been: providing services since 1998 . On February6, 2001 and May 23, 2000, the Board of Supervisors approved Contracts #24-933'-11 (as amended by, Contract Amendment Agreement #24-933µl2) and '#24-935-3 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #24-935-4) with Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. for the period from July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001, which included six-month automatic extensions through December 31 ,. 2001 , for subacute care for County residents who are severely and 'persistently, mentally ill (SMI) and Neurobehavioral clients . This Contract will combine services previously provided under Contracts #24 933-11 ('as amended, by Contract Amendment Agreement #24-933-12) and. 424- 935-3 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #24-935-4) . Approval of Novation. Contract #24-933-13 will replace the six--month automatic extensions under the prier Contracts, and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30 2002 .
