RECOMMENDATIONS
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Deputy Director-Redevelopment to execute a contract
in the amount of$30,000 between the Redevelopment Agency and the Ambrose Park
and Recreation District for appraisals of two properties owned by Ambrose.
FISCAL IMPACT
No General Fund money will be used on this project. The total estimated contract
amount of $30,000 is included in the proposed 2001/2002 Redevelopment Agency
Budget .

BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
The Ambrose Recreation and Park District(District) has requested funding to the cover
the cost of appraisals for two properties owned by the District. The properties include
the parcel located at the southeast corner of Willow Pass Road and Clearland Avenue
and the property known as Ambrose Park, located on the south side of State Route 4,
east of Bailey Road.
An appraisal for the Willow Pass/Clearland property will assist the District in their efforts
for marketing the site for future development. An appraisal of Ambrose Park would
inform the District and the Redevelopment Agency of the feasibility of future
development on portions of the property or the site in its entirety. It would provide
information necessary in determining the feasibility of relocating part or all of the park
facilities in the event of a sale.
Cost for two appraisals have been estimated at approximately $25,000 - $30,000. The
agreement would include reimbursement of appraisal cost for either of the parcels at
such time property is sold.
