Property for office building at 1650 Cavallo Road, Antioch, California

RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
It intends to purchase from Contra Costa Newspapers Inc., for County office building purposes,
the real property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for$3,250,000 in accordance with the terms
and conditions of the Purchase and Sale Agreement between the County of Contra Costa and Contra
Costa Newspapers Inc., dated , which is a fair and reasonable price therefor. A copy of
said agreement is on file in the Public Works Department.
This Board will meet on December 4, 2001, at 1:00 p.m. in the Board's Chambers, County
Administration Building, Martinez, California,to consummate this purchase and the Clerk of this Board is
DIRECTED to publish the attached notice in the Contra Costa Times pursuant to Government Code
Section 6063.
This Board hereby FINDS that this activity will not have a significant effect on the environment,
and that it has been determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under State
CEQA guidelines Article 5, Section 15061 (b)(3). This Board DIRECTS the Director of Community
Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk, and DIRECTS the Public Works
Director to arrange for payment of the $25.00 fee to the County Clerk for filing and a $25.00 fee to
Community Development for processing of the Notice of Exemption. This activity has been found to
conform to the General Plan of the City of Antioch. This Board having considered the general plan FINDS
that in accordance with its Resolution No. 81/522, this termination is minor in nature and is therefore
exempt from general plan conformance review.

Community Development staff has reviewed the attached project, CP 01- _ to determine if
mandatory referral for General Plan Conformance, as required by Section 65402 of the
Government Code, is necessary.
The project needs no further mandatory referral clearance from County staff subject to the
following actions:
