Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-7'69-3 with
Cho Nai Cheung
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION(S) :
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee
(Lewis Pascalli) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract
Amendment Agreement #22-769-3 to amend Contract #22-769-2 with Cho
Nai Cheung, effective September 30, 2001, to extend the term from
September 30, 2001 through December 31, 2001 and to increase the
Contract Payment Limit by $32 , 636, from $32 , 636 to a new total
Contract Payment Limit of $65, 272 .
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded by the California Accidental Release
Prevention (CAL/ARP) Program revenues included in the Health
Services Department ' s Budget .
BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S) :
On June 26, 2001, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract
#22-769-2 with Cho Nai Cheung for consultation and technical
assistance to the Department ' s Hazardous Materials Division
regarding risk management and prevention programs for the period
from July 2 , 2001 through September 30 , 2001 .
Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-769-3 will allow the
Contractor to continue providing services through December 31, 2001 .

SUBJECT: California Accidental Release Prevention (CAL/ARP) and ISO
On this date, Supervisor Mark DeSaulnier moved approval of the
recommendations contained in C.85 and C.86 on the agenda and he further
requested that the County Administrator and the Health Services Director
report to the Internal Operations Committee with a fuller explanation of the
process of and in terms of the needs of the CALARP and the ISO and that
the Internal Operations Committee to report to the full Board in 90 days on
this matter.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the above motion is
APPROVED.
