SUBJECT: ADOPT Resolution No. 2001/ 472 to sell Surplus Real Property
Camino Diablo
Project No. 0662-6U43,48
Lafayette Area

The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property on October 24, 1975 by
"Relinquishment"for highway purposes in the Lafayette area, described in Exhibit"A"attached
hereto. Said property is DETERMINED to be surplus and no longer necessary by the County
for highway purposes.
This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the sale of said property to the City
of Lafayette,-pursuant to Streets& Highways Code Section 960 and the Board Chair is hereby
AUTHORIZED to execute a Quitclaim Deed on behalf of the County in consideration for the
payment received in full in the amount of $165,000, the estimated fair market value of the
property.
This Board hereby APPROVES the Real Property Sales Agreement and AUTHORIZES
the Public Works Director to sign said agreements on behalf of the County. The Board hereby
DIRECTS that said funds be credited to County Fund No. 0662-6U4348.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said Quitclaim Deed to be delivered
to the grantee.
The Board hereby FINDS that the project will not have a significant effect on the
environment, and DETERMINES that the project is exempt from the requirements of the
California Environmental Quality Act as a Class 12 Categorical Exemption under County
Guidelines and Section 15312 of the State CEQA Guidelines, and DIRECTS the Director of
Community Development to file a Notice!of Exemption with the County Clerk and DIRECTS the
Public Works Director to arrange for payment of a $25.00 handling fee to the County Clerk for
filing and a $25.00 fee to Community Development for processing of the of the Notice of
Exemption. This activity has been found to conform to the General Plan of the City of
Lafayette.

A portion of Parcel 65 relinquished to the County of Contra Costa per the"Relinquishment
of Highway Right of Way in the County of Contra Costa, Road 07-CC-24-8.2-9.0 Request
no.40200"document recorded October 24, 1975 in Book 7666 of Official Records at page
766. Contra Costa County, California described as follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of the parcel of land granted to the City of Lafayette
by Directors Deed recorded May 1973 in Book 6968 of Official Records at page 760;
thence from said Point of Beginning north 860 03' 13"west 218.65 feet;thence north 40 12'
41"west 77.78 feet to a point on a non-tangent curve, concave to the south, a radial to said
point bears north 50 59' 56" west; thence easterly along said curve, having a radius of
570.00 feet, through a central angle of 70 48' 06" an arc distance of 77.61 feet; thence
tangent to said curve south 88° 11' 50" east 169.17 feet to the westerly line of said City of
Lafayette parcel; thence along said line south 140 09' 34" west 92.96 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
Containing an area of 20,073 square feet (0.461 acres) of land more or less.
There shall be no abutters rights of access over and across the course described above
with the length of 218.65 feet.
The bearings and distances used in the above description are on the California Coordinate
System Zone 3 (CCS 27). Multiply the above distances by 1.0000880 to obtain ground
level distances.
