FISC .IMPACT Funding for this Contract is included in the Department' s Fiscal Year 2000- 2001 Budget and is funded 100% by Meatal Health Realignment. BACKGRC ODDREAS M(S)' FOR RECOMMENDA'TI ON{S) ; This Contract meets the social needs of the County' s population in that it provides augmentation of roam and board, and twenty-four hour emergency residential; care and supervision to eligible mentally disordered clients, who are specifically referred by the Mental Health Program Staff'' and who are served by County Mental Health Services In July, 2000, Portia Bell Hume Behavioral Health & Training Center purchased the residential care home from Rico & Dominga Torness and began operations as Noack ''Family Home. Negotiations had to be postpone until the sale of, the ::property was completed. Services were formerly providedbyRico & Dominga Torneros under Torneros Residential Care Homes . Under Contract #24-681-50, Portia Bell Hume Behavioral Health' & Training Center (dba 'Noack Family Homes) will provide augmented Residential. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #25-021-1 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2001 .. Approval of Contract #27-494 will allow the Contractor to provide acupuncture services to Health Plan members, through November 30, 2401. BAGKGRC MM/REAS0N FOR RECOMMENDATIQN(S) On December 5 2000, the Board of Supervisors approved Mental Health Specialist Contract #24-804-5 with Arnold 'Gilbert, M.D. , for the period from October 1, 2000 through ;June' 30, '2001, for the provision of psychiatric services to Central 'County Children and East County Adults, in an amount :not to exceed $126,464 . However, ' due ' to an administrative oversight, :> the Board order did not reflect the negotiated Contract Payment Limit of $152, 000 . Approval of this Board order will allow the Department to correct Board. Order 0114, dated December 5, 2000 to reflect the actual intent of the parties, and allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2001 .
