(All Districts) DATE: December 4, 2001 PAGE 2 II. Financiallmpact: There is no cost to the County for this service. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: Onvia.com's Demandstar system is similar to an "online" building exchange with added features such as project document downloading or hardcopy orders to its subscribers. This non-exclusive agreement with Onvia.com takes advantage of today's technology in broadcasting our formal construction and professional services needs. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: Regardless of the Board's action, the Department will continue to advertise its project in its normal fashion utilizing required legal notices, direct notification/ solicitations of firms on Department lists, website postings, and other forms of advertisement.
