II. Financial Impact:
Estimated cost is $50,000 (100% Road Funds).
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
A. On July 24, 2001, the Board of Supervisors declared an emergency and
authorized the Public Works Director to proceed in the most expeditious manner
to repair the Bridge.
B. Repair status:
The solution uses sections of a prefabricated Bailey style bridge to span the
creek.
Hess Construction Company has constructed the foundation and installed the
bridge.
Deck grating is being attached and roadway approach is being graded.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
A negative action would slow the process of the replacement structure and would
cause the project to be delayed to 2002.
