Contra Costa DATE: December 4, 2001 ;K County SUBJECT: LEASE AMENDMENT FOR THE HEALTH SERVICES DEPARTMENT, 1330 ARNOLD DRIVE, SUITE #252, MARTINEZ (BLDG T00602) SPECIFIC REQUESTS OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECOMMENDATION APPROVE an amendment to the Lease, commencing July 1, 2001, with The Cranbrook Group for the premises at 1330 Arnold Drive, Suite # 252, Martinez, California for occupancy by the Health Services Department, Environmental Health and a sublease for the State of California EPA, under the terms and conditions set forth in the lease, and AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE the Lease Amendment on behalf of the County. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT Required payments are budgeted in the FY 2001/2002 Health Services and State EPA budgets. II. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION / BACKGROUND It has recently been determined that the rentable square footage of the original September 1, 2000 lease was not correct. The landlord has requested an adjustment to the rental costs based on the new square footage calculation. The original size was calculated at 1305 square feet and the adjusted size is 1466 square feet.
