HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12042001 - C.112 c.rr� Contra TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS '' FROM: Anne Cain, County Librarian �s Costa O'. vsglr::�wS. ��z DATE: November 14, 2001 °S A�oUK ° County SUBJECT: Agreement for Facility Renovation at Pinole Branch Library SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S)& BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDED ACTION: AUTHORIZE the County Librarian to amend the agreement between the City of Pinole Redevelopment " Agency and the County to extend the ending date for the City's right to enter the Pinole Branch Library facility from December 31, 2001 to June 30, 2002 in order to make improvements to the building. FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact related to this amendment. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND: In February of 2001, the Board of Supervisors authorized the County Librarian to negotiate an agreement with the City of Pinole Redevelopment Agency for Phase One of the renovation of the Pinole Branch Library. The County, as part of the agreement, will increase the service hours at the library and add to the collection. The agreement provided the City of Pinole Redevelopment Agency with access to the building in order to make these improvements through the period December 31, 2001. It is now necessary for the City of Pinole to continue to have access to the building through June 30, 2002 for this purpose. Approval of this amendment is requested.
