RECOMMENDATIONS
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE Deputy Director — Redevelopment to execute a contract with
RBF Consulting in an amount not to exceed$50,000 for engineering, planning, and community
outreach services related to the Las Juntas Swim Club Property Reuse Program, Pleasant Hill
BART Station Area.
FISCAL IMPACT
None. No General Funds are involved. The Redevelopment Agency's adopted budget
includes funds for these initiatives.

BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
In August the Board sitting as the Governing Board of the Redevelopment Agency
authorized the execution of an Option Agreement to acquire the Las Juntas Swim
Club property. The property would prospectively be used for temporary parking for
an interim period of time (4-5 years)with the ultimate long-term use to be residential
consistent with the Walnut Creek General Plan. The option period was intended to
be used by the Agency to determine whether a land use permit for temporary
parking could be obtained from the City of Walnut Creek and to work through a
neighborhood outreach program as relates to the long-term residential reuse of the
site. The retention of RBF Consulting will allow the Agency to pursue these due
diligence matters during the option period.
