II. Financiallmpact:
Estimated cost is $50,000 (100% Road Funds). Final costs pending submittal of
billing from Hess Construction.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
A. On July 24, 2001, the Board of Supervisors declared an emergency and
authorized the Public Works Director to proceed in the most expeditious manner
to repair the Bridge.
B. Repair status:
Hess Construction has completed the installation of a prefabricated Bailey
style bridge including foundations, deck grating and approach roadways. With
this work completed, the public may now safely traverse the creek, therefore
the Emergency Action may be terminated.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
A negative action would have no impact on the replacement of the structure.
