SUBJECT: Authorize the Public Works Director to approve Amendment No. 1 to the Consulting Services Agreement with
TRS Consultants, Inc.
DATE: December 18, 2001
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
On June 26, 2001, the Board of Supervisors authorized the Public Works Director to execute a
Consultant Services Agreement with TRS Consultants, Inc. in the amount of$160,000 to provide
construction inspection support for our field subdivision inspection staff.
Due to the continued rapid development in the Dougherty Valley area, it is necessary to offer
continued assistance to our field inspector. Construction activities are continuing longer than
originally anticipated and will continue into the fall & through the winter. In order to provide
adequate inspections, additional assistance will be required. Since the construction activities are
continuing, the completion date will be extended to the end of winter.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
If the consultant Services Agreement with TRS Consultants, Inc. is not approved, it may not be
possible to complete inspections.
