AS THE GOVERNING BODY OF
BETHEL ISLAND FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
Adjustment of Compensation for )
Volunteers in the Bethel Island ) Resolution No. 2000/_503
Fire Protection District )
Effective January 1, 1988,the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 8$175 which
established continuing policy for review and adjustment of pay rates for volunteer
employees in the various County Volunteer Fire Districts; and
The County Administrator has recommended adoption of requests from the Bethel Island
Fire Protection District that cost-of-living adjustments be made in the hourly rate paid
volunteers for response and training assignments of$1.00 per hour and has noted that the
last increase was June 27, 1995; and
The Board of Supervisors having thoroughly considered this request;NOW
THEREFORE,
The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors in its capacity as governing Board of the County
of Contra Costa and all districts of where it is the ex-officio governing Board;
RESOLVES THAT:
The following rates of pay are established for all non full-time (volunteer) employees in
the Bethel Island Fire Protection District effective December 1, 2000:
Rank
Rate_per_Hour
Captain $12.00
Engineer $11.00
Firefighter $10.00
Probationary Firefighter $ 9.00
In addition, employees who possess current certification as an Emergency Medical
Technician or Paramedic shall receive a differential of fifty cents($.50)per hour.
