A key component of the Redevelopment and CDBG programs is to develop and support economic development activities. Research has shown that properly developed and maintained web sites can also be a catalyst for housing program development and the provision of homebuyer's assistance information. The County and Redevelopment Agency Staff are interested in development of a web site to facilitate economic development and housing initiatives while also providing a source of general information that is always available to the greater community. Lighthouse Computer Group, a Martinez-based firm, was selected through a competitive RFP process. The Agency's goal is to have the enhanced web site operational by the 18t quarter of 2001
