WCK 004033, 0037045, 0037272 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)S BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION: Receive this report concerning subject final settlement and payment from the Workers' Compensation Trust Fund in the amount of$22,500. BACKGROUNDIREASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION: Warren A. Mulley, defense counsel for the County, has advised the County Administrator that within authorization an agreement has been reached settling the workers' compensation claim of Grace Tamura vs. Contra Costa County. This Board's December 7, 1999 closed session vote was: Supervisors Canciamilla, Uilkema, Gioia, DeSaulnier and Gerber, yes. This action is taken so that terms of this final settlement and the earlier December 7, 1999 closed session vote of this Board authorizing its negotiated settlement are known publicly. BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION: Timothy J. Ryan, defense counsel for the County, has advised the County Administrator that within authorization an agreement has been reached settling the general liability claim of Richard Caruso vs. Contra Costa County. This Board's December 7, 1999 closed session vote was: Supervisors Canciamilla, Gioia, Uilkema, DeSaulnier, and Gerber, yes.
