APPROVE an Agreement, commencing March 1, 1998, with the San Ramon Valley Unified
School District for the premises at 180 Hemme Avenue, Alamo, for the construction,
maintenance and recreational use of the Rancho Romero School Park, under the terms and
conditions more particularly set forth in said Agreement, and AUTHORIZE the Director of
General Services to EXECUTE said Agreement on behalf of the County.
11. FINANCIAL IIIA ACT
Payments required are to come from the budget of the Public Works Department.
Ill. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDABON 1 BACKGROUND
The County and the San Raman Valley Unified School District have jointly funded and
developed the Alamo School ballfield area creating a considerable public benefit. There is great
public benefit derived from the new or renovated recreation facilities resulting from joint District
and County funding, and maximizing recreational use of District properties and equitably
distributing the cost of improvements and maintenance represents efficient and cost effective
service to the public. The purpose of this Agreement is to provide for the construction,
maintenance and recreational use of the Rancho Romero School Park, as requested by the
Public Works Department.
