DATE: October 19, 1999 PAGE 2 11. Financial Impact: There is no impact to the general fund. Transferring these funds will decrease the funds available in the Measure C-88, Return to Source by $238,700.00 for fiscal year 1998-99. Ill. reasons for Recommendations and Background: The $238,700.00 equates to the City's portion of the Measure C-88, Return to Source funds generated by the 'f2 cent sales tax in Contra Costa County. The City allocation is based on the resident population and centerline miles of publicly maintained roads within the city limits. The newly incorporated City of Oakley will use these fends to maintain the local street network within the city limits. The Measure C-88, Return to Source allocation for fiscal year 1999-00 is not anticipated until the fust quarter of next year, therefore, the 1998--99 allocation is necessary for Oakley to operate and maintain their local roads. IV. Conseguences of Negative Action: If the transfer is not approved, the City of Oakley will not receive the $238,700.00 Measure C-88, Return to Source allocation.
