REASONS FOR RECOMEM NDATIO! S/BACKGROUND: Due to time constraints and business commitments Ms. Graham and Ms. Kelley- Williams have verbally resigned from the PIC. Ms. Graham's membership term was through 9/30/00; Ms. Kelley-Williams membership term was through 9/30/99. In accordance with the Job Training Partnership Act (DTPA) Legislation, Section 102 (22) (f) "any vacancy in the membership of the Council shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment." State law requires positions to be filled within 60 days; accordingly the Board is acknowledging the resignations of Ms. Graham and Ms. Kelley-Williams until a new appointment can be made. Ms. Graham and Ms. Kelley-Williams should be removed the Private Industry Council, Inc. non-profit organization. Individuals who are no longer members of the PIC are precluded from serving as a director of the non-profit organization.
