LAFAYETTE BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, BOB EWEN has been committed to serving the community through valuable
contributions and involvement with organizations such as Town Hall Theatre,Lafayette Chamber of
Commerce,Rotary Club,Las Trampas,Senior Housing Association and Festival Opera for the
betterment of the Lafayette community;and
WHEREAS, BOB EWEN has served for many years as a dedicated and tireless volunteer who has
inspired other volunteers and has truly made a difference in the community; and
WHEREAS, BOB EWEN has been instrumental in assisting new businesses in Lafayette as an active
leader in the business community; and
WHEREAS, BOB EWEN has served as a respected member of the Lafayette banking industry for 20
years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County
does hereby honor and commend

In the Matter of Commending Resolution No. 99/6
the Service of Lynn Wolter as
Outgoing Director of the Kensington
Police Protection and Community
Services District
WHEREAS, Lynn Wolter is completing her term as Director of the Kensington Police
Protection and Community Services District, and
WHEREAS, Lynn Wolter, in cooperation with other Directors has accomplished many
important undertakings which improved the facilities and operations of the District including:
Improving garbage collection service and controlling its cost, Implementing the development of the
Kensington Park, Stabilizing the District budget andfinances, Improving personnel policies and
procedures for the Police Department, Developing long-term agreements for building
improvements and lease of the public safety building and recreation; and adopting a District
policies and procedures manual, and
WHEREAS, Lynn Wolter is leaving the District in excellent fiscal condition which will
assist the new Directors and General Manager during this sign cant transition.
Now, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Contra Costa Board of
Supervisors recognizes the contributions and successes of Lynn Wolter, outgoing Director of the
Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District, and commends her for her
service to the community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors and First District
Supervisor John Gioia will continue to foster a positive relationship with the incoming District
Directors, District staff, and the residents of Kensington as has been strongly pursued and
established by Lynn Wolter and the other outgoing Directors.
