COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION'S DENIAL OF VESTING TENTATIVE MAP 7584,
A REQUEST TO DIVIDE 1,030 ACRES INTO 115 LOTS IN THE CLAYTONIMARSH

None.
BACKGROUNDIREASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
At the Board of Supervisors hearing on September 15, 1998, the Board continued
this item to this meeting to allow more time for the applicant to finalize the sale
agreement with the East Bay Regional Park District.
The applicant has submitted a letter dated October 21, 1998 requesting a
continuance since he will be out of town on November 3, 1998 (see letter attached).
The East Bay Regional Park District staff has confirmed that escrow will not likely
close by November 3, 1998.

Dear Rosemarie:
F I understand that our Subdivision application is being considered by staff for the November 3, 1998
Board of Supervisors meeting. To give you and the Board and update,'the sale is moving along well.
East Bay Regional Parks District staff has prepared all documents needed for their Board's approval of
funding of the Phase I purchase. That can be verified by calling Bob Doyle or Suzanne busk. 'I
understand that there is a short delay between the vote and funding which should be some time
between October 27, 1998 and November 10, 1998.
As I will be in Chicago at a NAA B meeting from October 23, 1998 until November 4, 1998. Iwould
appreciate it if you and Dennis could reschedule this item for either November 1?, 1998 or at the #
soonest November 10, 1998.
Plea send me a copy of the agenda when you have it scheduled. Thank you for your cooperation.
