In accordance with Section 34-12.004 of the Contra Costa County In-Home Supportive Services Authority Employer-Employee Relations Resolution 8119185, on October 8, 1998, SEIU, Health Care Workers Union, Local 250 filed a petition for Formal Recognition as representative of its members who are employed in Contra Costa County. The petition qualified in that ten percent (10%) of the In-Home Support Services (IHSS) providers filed employee organization authorization cards. Knight Director of Human Resources DATE: November 3, 1998 TO: Bpard of Supervisors FROM: K 0 Ito, Labor Relations Manager SUBJECT: Petition on behalf of SEIU, Health Care Workers Union, Local 250 In accordance with Section 34-12.004 (1) of the Contra Costa County In-Home Supportive Services Authority Employer-Employee Relations Resolution 81/1165, this is to advise the Board of Supervisors and other recognized employee organizations"that on October 8, 1998, SEIU, Health Care Workers Union, Local 250 filed a petition for Formal Recognition of the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) providers in Contra Costa County who are members of SEIU, Health Care Workers Union, Local 250. Proof of employee approval exceeds the minimum ten percent (10%) requirement for qualifying the petition. In accordance with Section 34-12.004 (2) and by copy of this memorandum, other recognized employee organizations are advised that intervention in the unit determination process and/or to appear on a representational election ballot requires ten percent (10%) of employee approval and must be submitted to the Labor Relations Manager within twenty-one (21) calendar days from the date of this memo.
