HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10061998 - C6-C10 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY,CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on October 6, 1998, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Uilkema, Gerber, DeSaulnier, Canciamilla, and Rogers NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Ratify previous permission by the Public Works Director to partially close a portion of Concord Avenue and Marsh Drive, for the purpose of running race, Concord area. (RC 98-25) The Public Works Director having reported that prior approval has been granted to Friends of Concord Parks,Recreation and Open Space to partially close Concord Avenue and Marsh Drive, except for emergency traffic, on Sunday, September 27, 1998, from 8:45AM to 9:30AM, subject to the following conditions: 1. Traffic will be detoured via adjacent lanes. 2. All signing to be in accordance with the State of California Manual of Traffic Controls. 3. Friends of Concord Parks,Recreation and Open Space shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of Contra Costa County. 4. Provide the County with a Certificate of Insurance in the amountof $1,000,000 for Comprehensive General Public Liability,which names the County as an additional insured prior to permit issuance. 5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff's Department,the California Highway Patrol and the Fire District. Traffic will be detoured via neighboring streets. 2. All signing to be in accordance with the State of California Manual of Traffic Controls. 3. Balfour Beaty Construction,Inc. shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of Contra Costa County. 4. Provide the County with a Certificate of Insurance in the amountof $1,000,000 for Comprehensive General Public Liability, which names the County as an additional insured prior to permit issuance. 5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff's Department,the California Highway Patrol and the Fire District.
