Both of these seats are currently vacant. A recruitment has been undertaken. The County's Affirmative Action Officer reviewed the applications that were received and recommended the appointment of Mr. Brewer and Ms. Potter to these two vacant seats. Our Committee has reviewed all of the applications and concurs with this recommendation. The County advertised extensively to community groups and organizations and to businesses in the County. There were four individuals who submitted applications to fill the vacancies. My review of the four (4) applicants are ranked in the order in which they are recommended for appointment to the Internal Operations Committee. The applicants are the following: 1 . Robert Brewer. Mr. Brewer is the Director of Program Services and Training for the Goodwill Industries. Mr. Brewer is also a small business owner. He is the only applicant recommended for the Outreach Program seat as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) . 2. Monica Potter. Ms. Potter is a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with the State of California Department of Rehabilitation. Her experience working with clients and her service on various committees will provide the Advisory Council with a broad range of experience and expertise. 3. Robert Kosloff. Mr. Kosloff is an attorneythat handles estate and financial planning, probate and family law matters. He has experience working for the Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund and is knowledgeable of Civil Rights issues and procedures. 4 . Scott Kiraly.
