Uilkema Supervisor Donna Gerber Supervisor Mark DeSaulnier Supervisor Joe Canciamilla FROM: Supervisor Jim Rogers 1A SUBJECT: IMPLEMENTATION OF PROPOSITION 10 I have placed on the Board agenda for December 1, 1998 the attached draft ordinance to implement the provisions of Proposition 19 in ContraCosta County. Because there is a chance that we could lose money if we do not have an ordinance in place by January 1, 1999, 1 think it is important to implement it now. I am recommending that the ordinance be introduced on December 1, 1998 and be adopted on December 8, 1998. If the Board subsequently finds that there are some minor changes that are needed, the ordinance can always be amended at that time.
